Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka, who was born in Minsk (the capital of Belarus), is the daughter of Sergey. Her father Sergey (d. in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Her 12 WTA singles titles include the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is an additional area in which she is a pro. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both won with Elise Mertens. Alongside the Belgian tennis player, she also took home an award called the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in the year 2019, making her the Sunshine Double. This feat was only achieved by four couples in female doubles. World singles rankings rose yet again, reaching its top position in January 2023. That same year she took home the title at Melbourne, and after that moved up to number one in the world in doubles. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach throughout 2018, up until the season ended in 2019, and also for a short time at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann also served as her short-term coach during the months of August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach since the year 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her heroes.
